Upcoming Vertu 06 delivers Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM processing power to luxury phone land
British luxury handset maker Vertu was content being the ultimate "style over substance" smartphone maker for a while. Yet, slowly but surely, the creator of smartphones fancy and bling-bling has been getting its hardware shopping choices in line with its high design aspirations.

The upcoming Vertu V06 is a culmination of the brand's recent appreciation for non-hopelessly-outdated components, for when its time to hit the retail catwalks comes around, the V06 will enter guns blazing. A Snapdragon 810 with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM is at play here, and the Android version will probably be Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is quite recent.

Of course, the Snapdragon 810 isn't the greatest choice for a chipset in 2015, due to being so darn challenging to integrate without heat problems. But still, Qualcomm's SoC gets the job of running a smartphone done, and the Vertu types usually aren't ones to indulge in extended Shadowgun: Deadzone deathmatch sessions, so we figure this thing could go over well.

Being equipped with flagship hardware is one very welcome thing, but when it comes down to Vertu, everyone knows it is the uprightly pretentious design and the exorbitant price tag that gets people revving their mouths about the brand. So what do we have to say about that? Unfortunately, there are no leaked Vertu V06 images to discuss, but the usual Vertu price tag that's upwards of $5574 (5000 EUR) suggests high exclusivity and premium crafting. Probably lots of diamonds and exquisite leather too! We'll see where Vertu is going further down the road, when it announces the V06 with all the seriousness of an established fashion house.
