Upcoming Samsung smartwatch is codenamed “Solis”, runs Tizen
Back in January, the Korea Herald reported that a new Samsung Gear S watch is planned for announcement at the IFA 2016 conference in Berlin. Now, a new leak suggests that the upcoming device is codenamed “Solis” - the Latin word for “sun” - and that it runs Samsung's proprietary OS Tizen.

Earlier this year, Swiss watchmaker Grisogono revealed that it will again be teaming up with Samsung to build a luxury limited edition of the upcoming smartwatch. Grisogono was also the company behind the limited Gear S2 series.

Along with the codename, model numbers for the new S watch were outed. They are: SM-R760, SM-R765, SM-R770, SM-R765V, and SM-R765S, with the last two probably reserved for carrier variants (V for Verizon, S for Sprint?). There is no info on specs yet.
