Unlocked LG V20 to be released in early November
The LG V20 is already widely available in the US, but you can only get it via carriers (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or U.S. Cellular). If you want an unlocked LG V20, you can't buy one yet, even though we assumed you'd be able to do so this month.
Right now, the only major US retailers that are taking pre-orders for unlocked LG V20s are B&H and Newegg. B&H says the handset is expected to become available in the beginning of November (which could mean sometime next week), while Newegg has November 11 listed as release date.
Both B&H and Newegg are asking $799.99 for an unlocked LG V20. While that may seem like a high price, it's actually lower than the off-contract price asked by AT&T ($829.99). If you're ordering the V20 from B&H or Newegg, you'll receive a free LG G Pad 7.0 tablet - not something to be overly excited about, but, hey, it's still a free tablet. You'll also get a pair of H3 By B&O PLAY earphones (this perk is available from carriers, too).

The V20 seems to be one of the best extra-large smartphones that LG has ever made, though it's still not perfect. You should check out our LG V20 review to find out what we think about the handset.
