The iOcean X8 's auto-focus front camera will finally make focused selfies possible
If you ever thought your selfies lacked focus and hate the awkward option of taking them with your smartphone's rear cam, consider the upcoming iOcean X8. Coming out of China, the X8 will bring the first 5MP front camera with auto-focus. This solution seems so simple and obvious that we can't help, but scratch our heads at why it's coming out of a small Chinese vendor, while the major players have no clue about it. But that's the way it goes sometimes.
In addition to its extraordinary selfie-taking abilities, the iOcean X8 features a 5.7-inch 1080p display, an octa-core MediaTek CPU, a Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM, a 14MP rear camera, a 2560mAh battery, and runs Android 4.2. It also happens to look real fine, with dimensions coming in at 6.26 x 3.11 x 0.3 inches (159 mm x 79 mm x 7.5 mm). Check out the many photos of the device we gathered from iOcean.

Since it's a Chinese smartphone, the price is expected to remain low (from our Western perspective, that is). The iOcean X8 probably won't be sold globally, but if you fancy it, simply mail-order it to your part of the globe. Accessories and video reviews for it are already available on-line, so the launch should happen very soon.
