The Samsung Stratosphere II shows up in leaked image
In October of last year, Verizon launched its first LTE enabled side-sliding QWERTY handset, the Samsung Stratosphere. Priced at $149.99 with a two-year contract, this phone was mid-range from the get go. Speculation about a sequel has been floating around for some time. Back in August, specs for the sequel leaked and revealed another mid-range device.

Now that we have an idea of what is inside the Samsung Stratosphere II, the serial leakers at evleaks have tweeted a picture of the handset right down to the side-sliding QWERTY. The screen might be a little larger, the processor might be faster and the camera sensor might be improved, but the device still screams mid-range.

We don't know when the device will be launched or what the price will be, but with current Samsung Stratosphere owners just a little more than half way through their current lock-up, Verizon might need to persuade a lot of new buyers that this is the phone for them.
