The LG Ice Cream Smart appears to be a future clamshell Android smartphone

Last year, LG launched the Wine Smart, its very first clamshell smartphone (running Android 4.4 KitKat). Now, the company is seemingly getting ready to introduce another clamshell that's based on Android.

@upleaks revealed an image that shows a flip phone reportedly called LG Ice Cream Smart. Most probably, the handset has this name because it's the spiritual successor to the LG Ice Cream KF350 clamshell that was released way back ion 2008 (obviously, this one wasn't a smartphone).

We don't expect the LG Ice Cream Smart to have drool-worthy features. It's quite possible that the handset's specs sheet is more or less similar to that of the Wine Smart, including a 3.5-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (or 410) processor, 1 GB of RAM, and an 8 MP rear camera. Nevertheless, in a world that's almost devoid of clamshell smartphones, the LG Ice Cream Smart is a notable device.

There's no word on when LG will announce the Ice Cream Smart. However, it must be mentioned that those who may be interested in getting the handset will likely not be able to find it outside of South Korea, LG's home country.
