Telegram 4.4 has just been announced and judging by the number of new features included, this is a major update. As the title says, the latest version of Telegram comes with a new media player which is supposed to better support the playback of MP3s and other music files that
Telegram users send and receive.
Another important new addition to the mobile app – live locations – allows users to broadcast their current location to any chat in real time. The new feature comes in handy when you're on the move and want to send someone your exact location.
The new option is available from the Location mention by tapping the “Share My Location for ...” and choosing who to send the information. It's worth mentioning that Live Location can be shared in groups as well. Moreover, if the other members of the group share their locations too, you'll be getting an interactive map showing everyone's location.
Finally, the folks at
Telegram announced their mobile app now features a new translation platform, which means you'll be able to use it French, Indonesian, Malayan, Russian and Ukrainian. With the addition of the new languages, Telegram supports 13 languages, but more are coming soon including Persian.
All changes in the update should be available on both the Android and iOS versions of Telegram, so you may want to download the new app via App Store and Google Play, respectively.
