THL 2015 leaks out: octa-core chip and a fingerprint scanner on a budget
The THL 2015 was supposed to get unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in the beginning of March in Barcelona, but obviously something in the plans changed and the phone has leaked out in its entirety, along with the retail box.
The THL 2015 is one of the new generation of China-made smartphones featuring the new octa-core MediaTek MT6752L 64-bit system chip, and it also packs a fingerprint scanner on its back for added security. It’s a 5-inch smartphone with a 1080 x 1920-pixel display, but one can notice the fairly thick bezels.
The early release unfortunately results in this phone running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box rather than the newer Android 5.0 Lollipop, but we are hoping to see it updated in the near future.
