TENAA gives thumbs up to the Oppo A53
Oppo has a pair of new handsets that recently received their 3C certification in China, the Oppo A53m and Oppo A33m.  The latter had also been certified by Chinese regulatory agency TENAA, and we were waiting for the A53m to receive clearance as well so that we could get a look at its specs. This morning we have word that the Oppo A53 has been cleared by TENAA. It would be logical to assume that the A53m is a variant of the A53.

The Oppo A53 features a 5.5-inch IPS screen, with a 720 x 1280 HD resolution. An octa-core 1.5GHz CPU is under the hood, with 2GB of RAM inside. 16GB of internal storage is on board, along with a 128GB capacity microSD slot. On back, you will find a 13MP camera, with a front-facing 5MP snapper available for selfies and video chats. The Oppo A53 measures 8.03mm thick, and weighs in at 165 grams. It supports 4G LTE, and will be offered in both gold and silver.

Now that the device has been certified by TENAA, we should see Oppo making it official shortly.
