TENAA clears the second-generation Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A7100)
Just the other day, we told you that the second-generation Samsung Galaxy A3 and second-generation Samsung Galaxy A5 had visited the FCC in preparation for their U.S.unveiling and subsequent launch. Now comes word that another member of the second-generation Galaxy A series, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-7100), has been certified in China by regulatory agency TENAA.

The specs, according to TENAA, include a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, carrying a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The chipset that drives the handset is the Snapdragon 615, which will contain a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU, and the Adreno 405 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, up from the 2GB found on the OG Samsung Galaxy A7. 16GB of native memory can be expanded using the 128GB capacity microSD slot.

A 13MP camera is found on the back of the handset, with a front-facing 5MP snapper available to take selfies and handle video chats. A 2600+ mAh battery keeps the pistons pumping, and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed. There is support for 4G LTE (Cat. 4), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0, GPS, and NFC connectivity, and the second-generation Galaxy A7 measures just 6.95mm thick. Weighing 155 grams, the device is listed as being available in "Golden" by TENAA.

Besides the photos from TENAA, which you'll find in the slideshow, earlier this monthphotos of the second-generation Samsung Galaxy A7 leaked. In addition, a recent rumor has all of the Galaxy A sequels "probably" packing a fingerprint scanner.
