Specs revealed for the entry-level Lenovo A6600
At the beginning of this month, we told you all about the Lenovo A3900, a budget priced smartphone carrying a 5-inch, 480 x 854 resolution screen. That makes it one of those rare sub-200ppi panels that might remind you of the good old days. At the same time we passed along the specs for that model, we told you that Lenovo was working on another pair of entry-level phones known as the A6600 and A6800. Today, we have information about the specs on the former model.
Thanks to its TENAA certification in China, we can tell you that the Lenovo A6600 is equipped with a 5-inch screen carrying a 720 x 1280 resolution. Under the hood is a 64-bit MediaTek SoC featuring a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU. 1GB of DDR3 RAM is inside along with 8GB of native storage. Those requiring more memory can access the 32GB capacity microSD slot. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 5MP respectively, and Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed. The handset offers 4G LTE connectivity, and at 7.5mm it has a trim design.

The Lenovo A6600 is expected to be priced at the equivalent of $110 USD. The phone will be available in white, silver and gold. And yes, Lenovo does plan on updating the handset to Android 5.0.
