Sony has just released its third PlayStation-related mobile application, which is called Communities. The new application is available for free on both the Android and iOS platforms.
According to developers, PlayStation Communities is supposed to make it easier “to stay in touch with your fellow PS4 gamers while away from the console.” This means that it will only work with PlayStation 4 consoles, not with previous generations.
PlayStation Communities works like a hub where you can find players who have similar interests and preferences. For example, the application should allow you to join parties and launch into games with other members who have Communities installed on their devices.
You can even talk to them within the application. PlayStation Communities comes in handy when you can't find enough players for a raid, as the app may help you fill out your party.
Furthermore, you will also be able to see community profiles, view a list of communities that you are already part of, as well as see who else is in your community. Obviously, you can discover additional communities that might suit your interests.
PlayStation Communities if available for free to download on both Android and iOS platforms, but it hasn't been uploaded to Google Play and App Store yet. According to developers, both apps will be up for grabs in the next couple of hours.
