Sony’s upcoming Honami aka Sony i1 flagship is drool-worthy stuff. Said to be packing a 20-megapixel camera, it has the ambition to become the best Android cameraphone. Now, Sony has sent out press invites for September 4th when the IFA show kicks off and chances are we’ll get to finally see the official Honami unveiling then.
What’s weird is the time Sony sends out this invitation - nearly two months prior to the event, way too early. Obviously Sony wants us to get ready for its big unveiling ahead of time.
The press invite reads: “you are invited to the ifa 2013 Sony press conference and exciting booth unveiling.”
Sony will starts its keynote on September 4th, from 4:15pm to 5:00pm, and we’ll of course cover it all as it happens. The Sony Honami is rumored to have a 5-inch 1080p display and run on the Snapdragon 800 chip.
The Japanese company, though, won’t be the only one to capture your attention. Right around then we expect Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Note III, a device that could steal Sony’s thunder.
