Sony i1 Honami will capture 4K video with its 20MP camera, spy shot confirms
Not long ago, a system dump from the Sony i1 Honami smartphone revealed that its 20MP camera could capture video in 4K resolution. Now we have more evidence leading us to believe that is true – a spy photo of a slideshow presentation lists 4K video support among the smartphone's stand-out features.
The Sony i1 Honami is anything but a well-kept secret as it leaked multiple times already. Photos of the device from all angles have appeared on the web on several occasions, including press photos indicating the presence of Sony's "G Lens" technology implemented in the smartphone's camera. The camera interface will be rich in terms of features and will even include augmented reality modes. And if you're wondering just how good of a photo the Sony i1 Honami will be able to capture, here's a sample that was found just days ago.
We're expecting Sony to announce the i1 Honami on September 4 at the IFA tech expo in Berlin. Until then, we'll keep an eye out for further leaks, showing what other goodies the smartphone will have to impress us with.
