Sony Xperia Z shows up on O2 Germany, "expected" in February
We can now add O2 Germany to the list of carriers that will be offering the Sony Xperia Z once it is ready to hit the market. The smartphone has just popped up on O2's web site, along with a confirmation that it will ride on the carrier's 4G LTE wireless network. Those who are interested in the highly anticipated smartphone can choose between two color options – black and white.
As far as availability is concerned, the Sony Xperia Z is "expected to be available" in February, which seems a bit too good to be true. After all, Sony itself stated that the smartphone won't be out earlier than March of this year. Perhaps that's when O2 will begin accepting pre-orders for the Xperia Z and then shipping will commence once the right time has come.
How much the Sony Xperia Z will cost through O2 Germany, isn't yet known. However, our guess is that unless one signs a long term service agreement, they'd have to pay no less than the equivalent of $650 or so, since that's what retailers like Expansys UK are asking for Sony's new flagship.
