Sony Lavender render leaks out, flaunting almost bezel-less sides
A prominent leakster account tweeted the following render, claiming that this is an outline of the rumored upcoming Lavender phone from Sony. Lavender is undoubtedly a codename, and last we heard about this handset, it was said to sport a 1080p screen resolution, though no display diagonal was given.
Sony will allegedly use the 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 chipset, which is a 2 GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 endeavor with Mali-T760 GPU, and an integrated LTE modem. Not too shabby at all, but it's the phone's side bezels, or lack of them thereof, that attracted our attention.
Sony Lavender, which goes by the internal model number E5503, will apparently follow in the footsteps of Xiaomi, ZTE, LeTV, and other trendy recent handsets that have introduced almost bezel-less designs. As for the exact specs, price and release date, these remain a mystery so far, though something tells us the announcement date shouldn't be far away.
