Samsung selling 1 million mobile devices daily
According to Samsung's executive vice president David Eun, the Korean based OEM is selling 1 million mobile devices each and every day. Eun passed this along at the Samsung Developers Conference in San Francisco on Monday morning. The 1 million mobile units sold daily include smartphones and tablets-everything mobile. Consider that the manufacturer is still reaping the benefits of selling the Samsung Galaxy S4. Just the other day, Samsung said that it had sold 40 million units of the flagship Android model. And don't forget the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is no shrinking violet at the cash register.
Eun says the next step is for Samsung to connect its mobile devices so that they can all talk to each other."We hope to build along with you one of the largest platforms in the world for content, services, apps and ads. We call this the connoted home, and the connected life," said the executive.
Strong smartphone sales led Samsung to report last week, record high net earnings for the recently reported third quarter. Analysts say that Sammy sold 85 million to 89 million intelligent handsets in the quarter. That alone nearly works out to 1 million units a day which means that it doesn't require much of a contribution from the tablet end of the equation to reach 1 million mobile devices sold daily.
