Samsung Gear S2 and LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE will launch on AT&T this month
Besides announcing details about the launch of the BlackBerry Priv and HTC One A9 (see here and here), AT&T today also mentioned that, starting November 6, it will accept pre-orders for two new smartwatches: the Samsung Gear S2, and the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE (that's quite a long name, isn't it?).
AT&T's Samsung Gear S2 is a 4G HSDPA+ version of the regular S2 that was available to buy in the US since early October. Its features include Tizen OS, a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display with 360 x 360 pixels, rotating bezel, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and a 300 mAh battery. The Gear S2 will be launched on November 20 by AT&T, for $199.99 on contract, or $15 per month for 20 months with an AT&T Installment Plan.
Thanks to the fact that both the Gear S2 and Watch Urbane 2nd Edition support cellular connectivity, the two smartwatches will be the first to be compatible with what AT&T is calling NumberSync. Expected to be available starting early 2016, NumberSync will allow customers to use their current phone numbers with their wearables in order to make and receive calls, or send and receive texts.

As its name suggests, the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE features LTE connectivity. Initially announced about a month ago, the smartwatch runs Android Wear, featuring a 1.38-inch P-OLED circular display with 480 x 480 pixels, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and a 570 mAh battery. AT&T will sell the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE starting November 13, for prices similar to those of the Samsung Gear S2.
