Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge buyers can now claim their free Gear VR headset, games and more
Those who purchased or will purchase the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge from certain carriers and retailers from February 23th through March 18th, are eligible for some goodies from the manufacturer. Samsung is giving away some nice freebies like the Gear VR headset, games for the latter, the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch and a year of Netflix. It all depends on where you purchased the phone, so keep reading to see what extras you are due, and how to get them.

Samsung has put up a website for those who have purchased the phones so that they can claim their goodies. However, if they bought their new phone from Sprint, the VR headset will be delivered directly to them. Verizon customers have a choice of going with the Gear VR or the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, valued at $300. The Gear VR comes with six-games and the bundle altogether has a value of $149.99.

AT&T customers who bought the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge are entitled to a free Samsung Gear VR ($99.99 value) and a six-game package normally priced at $50. T-Mobile subscribers who purchased one of the two phones mentioned above are also entitled to the same Gear VR package that AT&T members receive. But there is one additional freebie for T-Mobile subscribers. They receive one year of Netflix for free, a $120 bonus.

To claim the free "stuff," those who purchased either phone need to click on the sourcelink. Once on the site, they need to click on the appropriate carrier or retailer where they bought the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. They will have to fill out some info including the phone's IMEI and Wi-Fi MAC number. A picture or PDF of the receipt needs to be sent. The freebies should arrive 4 to 6 weeks after the claim is verified by Samsung. Just follow the directions at the website.
