Samsung Galaxy S7 is the best-selling smartphone in South Korea ahead of iPhone 7 launch
However, there are many other customers who (still) feel the need to buy a high-end Samsung smartphone and since the South Korean company has already announced it has permanently stopped production and sales of the Note 7, the only logical choice is the S7 (or S7 edge).
Also, data from three major carriers in South Korea suggests that Samsung sold around 15,000 Galaxy S7 units per day during the past week, which is considered quite a lot since a daily 10,000-unit sales is a major hit in this country.
The achievement might be short-lived though since Apple is now readying its iPhone 7 launch in South Korea, which is supposed to happen on October 21.
On the other hand, Samsung is expected to counter the iPhone 7's launch in South Korea with the release of the Blue Coral version of the Galaxy S7, which leaked last week.
Unfortunately, it's unclear whether or not Samsung's blue Galaxy S7 will be ready to hit the market in time to compete with Apple's iPhone 7 in South Korea. What we do know is that the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 will arrive in the United States and Verizon will be one of the operators that will carry it.
