Samsung Galaxy Note 7 edge ( Note 6) tipped to have dual cameras, iPhone 7 Plus - beware!

A new report originating from China's Zol shares a pretty interesting rumor regarding one of Samsung's upcoming handsets, the Galaxy Note 7 edge. "Wait a minute here, PhoneArena. It's 2016, so Samsung should be treating us to the Galaxy Note 6, right"? Well, yes, that's the logical progression of the Note lineup, but rumors have been flying around that Sammy could skip the "6" and jump straight to "7".

Anyway, we just heard that Samsung could be prepping a dual-lens camera for the Galaxy Note 7 Edge. It is reportedly being developed by Samsung's Electro-Mechanics branch, often referred to as SEMCO, so it will most likely make use a combination of Samsung's own camera sensors. The dual-cam setup will seemingly make a debut on the Note 7 Edge, but we are not exactly sure how's it going to work or what functionalities it will unlock.

If the rumor is true, then Samsung is most likely getting ready to battle the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus/Pro, which could also be scoring a dual-camera setup. Reportedly, that one will allow for lossless optical zoom thanks to a folded telephoto mechanism. Samsung's next big thing could use its camera system to do the same, but one can't be certain at this point.

Some of the latest phones to arrive with dual-lens cameras are the Huawei P9 and the LG G5.

As far as the specs Note 6/7 Edge is concerned, we expect it to arrive with a 5.8" Quad HD display (Super AMOLED one of course), with either Snapdragon 823 or Exynos chipset inside. An iris scanner is also heavily rumored ot make an appearance ofn t There will probably be 6GB of RAM in the phablet, similar to what we expect from the OnePlus 3. You can check out our rumor reviews for the Note 6/Note 7 below.

So, a Galaxy Note phablet with a two cameras at the back, yay or nay?
