Samsung Galaxy J5 spotted on the GFXBench website
A few days ago, we told you that Samsung is expected to
expand its Galaxy J line-up by launching two new smartphones. Called the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7, the new handsets were said to be affordable Android smartphones with mid-range specs, much like the original
Samsung Galaxy J1. Building up on the previous info, the Samsung Galaxy J5 was recently spotted in a leaked GFXBench result, with most of its hardware specs being listed in the benchmark's database.
According to GFXBench website, the Galaxy J5 (model number SM-J500F) will come with a 5-inch display running at 1280 by 720 pixels. As far as the internal specs are concerned, the benchmark lists components such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, 1.5GB of RAM, 4.7GB of available storage space, probably out of a total of 8GB, a 13MP primary camera, and a 5MP secondary shooter. These specs match perfectly with the previous report. On the other hand, even if we're not looking at fake data, the benchmark result probably comes from a prototype device, meaning that these specs aren't set in stone.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 is expected to be launched alongside a larger Galaxy J7 model. If rumors are accurate, the Galaxy J7 will come with a similar set of specs, except for a Marvel PXA1936 chipset and a 5.5-inch display.
