Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 (10.1) to launch in U.K. on August 22nd for £300/£400
This seems to be the month for Samsung to push out its new 10.1 inch tablets. With the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1starting its Global launch, U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse is listing the Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 (10.1) as having a launch date of August 22nd and a price of £300 ($471 USD) for the Wi-Fi model and £400 ($628 USD) for the unit with 3G connectivity. The retailer is accepting pre-orders for the tablet now.

The Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 (10.1) offers a 10.1 inch Super PLS LCD display with the same 1280 x 800 resolution and low 149ppi pixel density as seen on the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1. A dual-core 1GHz processor runs the show and the tablet has 1GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage on board. A 32GB capacity microSD slot can help you expand the storage on the unit. The 3MP camera on back captures video in 720p at 30fps and there is a VGA front-facing shooter for self-portraits and video chat. A 7000mAh battery keeps the tablet running. Android 4.0 is installed out of the box.

If you are looking for performance on a 10 inch tablet, the quad-core Exynos processor on the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 should be considered. If you're on a budget and pricing is your main concern, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 (10.1) should be on your list.
