Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to use three-sided YOUM display
Just the other day, Samsung senior vice president Yoon Han-kil said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4would contain a new form factor. We might have some idea of what to expect, after a new round of speculation involving the next iteration of Samsung's phablet. According to a rumor out of Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come to market with a flexible "Youm" display. And we're not talking about flexible like the Samsung Galaxy Round, either. We are expecting a screen that can bend. Maybe it won't be able to have (with apologies to Adam Levine) moves like Gumby, but it appears that it will take screen flexibility to a new level.

The other new feature of the screen might turn out to be even more exciting. According to this rumor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will feature a three-sided display. This rumor dates back to January, when we first told you that Sammy's next phablet would offer such a thing. The very next month, we once again passed along a rumor about a "rolled edge" display on the Galaxy Note 4, similar to a three-sided display (the more interesting part of that report was talk of a foldable Galaxy Note 5 for 2015).

Samsung has filed a patent application for a wraparound screen, which follows the same concepts as the three-sided display. It could allow for the use of virtual buttons and allow users to more easily tab through files or pictures sorted alphabetically or by year.

It all raises the excitement level for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The phablet, which carries a lot of expectations this year, now carries much more.

Thanks for the tip!
