Report: Doogee to unveil a smartwatch next month
Doogee, which had been a relatively unknown manufacturer out of China, has been pushing out a number of new smartphones lately including one that will sport a 6000mAh battery. Another model will feature two 5-inch FHD screens, and a third offers a liquid metal build. With all of these different handsets sporting interesting features, the company is becoming more well-known. And today, a published report says that Doogee will be unveiling a smartwatch next month.
Called the Doogee Keeper, the timepiece will be a stand alone smartwatch that has the ability to make and take phone calls. It is expected to come with a micro SIM slot and support 3G connectivity. The Keeper includes 512MB of RAM, along with 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded by as much as 32GB.
Doogee's new smartwatch will keep track of your heart rate, and also packs a pedometer, barometer, altimeter and GPS capabilities. Lifting your wrist awakens the screen, and the timepiece pairs with your smartphone via a Bluetooth connection. A 5MP camera is included with the watch, which is built with a metal casing. The device offers protection from the elements thanks to its IP68 certification.
