Panasonic Toughpad 4K tablets about ready to ship, bring lots of money
If you have been waiting for a real powerhouse, monster-sized tablet, as soon as next week you might be able to finally get your hands on Panasonic’s Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 20-inch tablet.
These bad boys have a pixel resolution of 3840x2560 providing a nice pixel density of 230ppi which will make for easy viewing of Windows 8.1. Panasonic’s line of tough devices is not unique, but it is probably the most distinct.
The Toughpad4K will start at around $5,000. That will buy you 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, with an Intel Core i5 CPU. There is also NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M graphics and a 720p webcam. For those that want “real” performance though, you will want to pony up another thousand (suggested retail, $6,999) for the performance model, featuring a Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro K1000 graphics processor.

We last heard that the Toughbook 4K tablets were going to ship last month, but it looks as though orders will begin shipping Monday.
