Opera Mini for Android updated, now includes category bar on top
The popular third-party Opera Mini browser has updated its Android app, adding some new features. One change included with the update makes it easier for users to download content. If you are planning on a download so large that it will take a huge bite out of your monthly data allowance, you can go to Opera's Download settings menu. Once there, the browser can be set to hold off on any scheduled downloads until you are within range of a Wi-Fi signal.
In addition, Opera Mini will now allow you to decide how many files are to be downloaded at the same time. Other options you have include deciding whether or not to be notified when each download starts, and when it ends. You can pick how many files the browser can download together at the same time, and even select the destination for each file downloaded.
Another big change is the inclusion of a category bar on the top of the browser, above the address bar. It includes different categories of content that you can choose from, including Web, Images, Shopping, Video and News.

If you already have Opera Mini installed on your Android phone, go to the Google Play Store and check My apps and games for the update. Or, you can click on the sourcelink to install the browser, update and all, on your phone. You can put away your wallet; Opera Mini is a free download.
