Octa-core powered Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 is unveiled
Back in April, we told you all about the then unannounced Lenovo Golden Warrior A8. Today, the phone was officially introduced and we can tell you that it employs the MT-6592 CPU under the hood. That model number refers to the true octa-core processor from MediaTek, that Lenovo is employing on this handset.  Back in April, the device was running on Android 4.2.2, and at the time we noted the elderly age of the OS build. We are happy to report that it will actually be Android 4.4.2 pre-installed on the Golden Warrior A8.

The 5 inch screen offers a 720 x 1280 resolution, and the handset is packed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and 5MP respectively. We should point out that there is a dual LED flash on the back of the phone. The device is available in black, white, gold or pink.  Lenovo's VIBE UI 2.0 runs on top of Android. The MT6290 LTE modem used on the unit, supports speeds at fast as 150Mbps.

The Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 is priced as low as $128, and is one of 60 new smartphones that the manufacturer is conjuring up this year.
