Octa-core Lenovo Vibe S1 apparently coming soon
Back in February, several new Lenovo handsets (including the Vibe X3, S1, P1 and P1 Pro) showed up in a series of leaked photos just before MWC 2015 - when they were all supposed to be officially announced. Until now, however, Lenovo didn't confirm the existence of these handsets. Even so, it looks like at least the Vibe S1 is coming soon, as it's recently been approved by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.
Apparently made out of plastic, the Lenovo Vibe S1 is an upper-mid-range handset that weighs 130 grams, measures 143 x 70.8 x 7.85 mm, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. The new smartphone comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, and seems to be powered by an octa-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. A 13 MP camera with LED flash sits on the back of the phone, while for selfies users will get an 8 MP front-facing camera. The S1 also features LTE connectivity, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, and microSD card support.

The Lenovo Vibe S1 should be available in several color versions, including black, pink, and silver. We assume the handset will be first sold in China, probably starting in the near future.
