Non-Korean LG G2 models to get Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of March?
LG started rolling out an official KitKat update for the Korean version of its G2 in December, but users based in other countries still don’t know when to expect to receive the latest version of Android. Well, it might happen soon.
In an answer to an impatient user on Facebook, LG Italy said that the 4.4 KitKat update for the G2 is scheduled to arrive by the end of March. If that’s the case, G2 owners in other European regions will probably get the update at about the same time.
We don’t know if G2 users in the US should also expect to receive KitKat by the end of March, as American carriers have a tendency to push software updates a bit later than everyone else.
Earlier today, LG Saudi Arabia tweeted to inform fans that the G2 would get Android 4.4 KitKat at the end of January. However, the tweet has been pulled - which likely means the update won’t be ready this month after all.

It’s said that LG sold more than 3 million G2 smartphones around the world, so there are many users out there waiting to get rid of Jelly Bean. Here's hoping the wait won't be too long.
