Nokia might spoil the Surface party today with the announcement of a Windows tablet project
A former Nokia executive has confirmed for the Finnish newspaper "Tekniika&Talous" (technology and the economy), that Nokia has a Windows 8 tablet in the works in its San Diego headquarters.
The Nokia exec mentioned that the Windows tablet project of the Finns might even get fleshed out today, at the big joint event with Microsoft two hours from now, and, considering Redmond has its own Surface tablets announced, we are curious what Nokia intends to bring to the table.
We've heard rumors about a Nokia Windows slate powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset before, and the design chief Marko Ahtisaari confirmed not long ago, again in an interview for a Finnish newspaper, that a third of his time is spent on such a project, but then the rumors dried up, until today.
