New Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear 2 Neo allegedly pictured

Samsung really has a thing for the name “Neo”, as it seems that it’s going to use it for one of its upcoming smartwatches - after including it in the monikers of several smartphones, most notably the Galaxy Note 3 Neo.

According to @evleaks, Samsung has two new smartwatches, called Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear 2 Neo. The former can be seen on the left, while the latter is allegedly pictured on the right. As their names suggest, the Gear 2 should have more advanced features than the Gear 2 Neo. The Gear 2 appears to have a metal body, while the Gear 2 Neo is likely made from plastic. Both smartwatches seem to have cameras above their displays, and home buttons below.

Just recently, we heard that one of Samsung’s new smartwatches could run a version of Tizen instead of Android. While the leaked image does not confirm this, it doesn't invalidate it, either.

We’ll certainly find out more on Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy Gear smartwatches this Monday, on February 24, at MWC 2014 - where the South Korea company is expected to officially announce quite a few new products, including the long-rumored Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Update: @evleaks tweeted that these new watches "are not Galaxy-branded" after all. This could mean that they are indeed running Tizen. We'll bring more on this as soon as new details are available.
