Mstar to unwrap high-end model in October powered by Snapdragon 820, featuring 4GB of RAM
Mstar is another in a line of little known Chinese smartphone manufacturers that produces low priced knock-off phones. According to a report published today, the company is ready to break out later this year with the production of a high-end model. The Mstar S700 Pro is expected to be powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 820 SoC, equipped with a quad-core 3GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. It also will come with a 5.5-inch 2.5D glass display carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The screen will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Inside the phone will be 4GB of RAM with 32GB of native storage. Those seeking additional memory can access the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 21MP camera will be on the back of the phone, and an 11MP front-facing shooter handles selfies and video chat. Keeping the generator humming is a 3500mAh battery. Android 5.1.1 will be pre-installed.
Other goodies include an Ultrasonic Sense fingerprint scanner, which is Qualcomm's product and comes with the Snapdragon 820. The handset will also feature the Type-C USB port, and is expected to be priced at $479.99. We should see the Mstar S700 Pro unveiled in October.

Sounds like Mstar is making quite a statement with the S700 Pro. Despite being as highly spec'd as a smartphone can be for the second half of 2015, the price will certainly be low enough to win over a large number of buyers.
