The Motorola DROID BIONIC launch kit is arriving at Verizon stores
Once the calendar flips to Saturday, we will be at T minus 5 days for the Motorola DROID BIONIC launch at Verizon, as we
reported. And as you might expect,
some of Big Red's retail locations are beginning to receive all the tools necessary to sell the phone to the consumer-not that we think for a moment that there isn't already a large number of Verizon customers just waiting for September 8th. The launch kits that the stores are receiving include live demo units to display in the store. In addition, some stores
are receiving their initial allocation of the smartphone, hiding them in the back office before the expected rush on Thursday.
Speaking of the Motorola DROID BIONIC, a new video was discovered showing the retail box, the actual unit rocking Verizon's LTE pipeline, and the "About" screen confirming that Android 2.3.4 is aboard. There has been no sign of a pre-order period and Verizon hasn't actually made any official announcement related to pricing and launch date. And for those of you who have
downloaded the DROID BIONIC ARena app from the Android Market in the hopes of winning a free DROID BIONIC, once Saturday starts
there will be 24 hours left until the sweepstakes begins.
