Microsoft finally launches its Office Mobile for iPhone on Apple App Store
Today, Microsoft has finally launched its Office Mobile application for iPhone and iPad, a gorgeous looking office suite supporting Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The application is free to download, but to use it you’d need an active Office 365 subscription.
The new Microsoft Office Mobile is fully optimized for the iPhone’s small display and it’s hooked to the cloud so you can view and edit your SkyDrive and SharePoint documents.
Just as you’d expect, you can edit documents on mobile and preserve the original formatting. Office Mobile for Office 365 subscribers is a cloud app, but you can still edit documents while you are offline and changes will get synced later on, when you go online. You can also see comments, create your own documents and share it all socially. Neatly, documents you have already opened resume at the place you left them and the app can also fire up so you can read email attachments on it.
