Microsoft Arrow Launcher update adds Bing search, Performance mode, more
Microsoft has just released another important update for its Arrow Launcher application for Android devices. The update brings a slew of new features, but also some under the hood improvements that should make the launcher perform faster than ever before.

Long-time Arrow Launcher users will notice that the Recent page got instant messenger support, which will allow them to find their instant messenger chats with friends directly from within the launcher without having to open the IM application separately.

But that's not all, as Microsoft confirmed that Arrow Launcher now features Bing search. Probably most Android fans are often using Google Search, but the addition of an alternative search engine can't hurt and it's nice to have.

Furthermore, the developers announced the new version of Arrow Launcher features a performance mode. Basically, the new performance mode streamlines all the resources the launcher needs to function as smooth as possible, so it turns off background animations and blur settings to make Arrow Launcher even faster.

Last but not least, Microsoft mentions that the update contains many under the hood improvements that enhance the application's performance. This means that users should expect the launcher to be faster in terms of page swipes, app launches, but also memory usage and many more.

If you haven't tried out Microsoft's Arrow Launcher yet, you can head over to Google Play and download it for free. Those who already have it installed should check their phones for the new update.
