Meizu Pro 5 Mini to feature MediaTek's deca-core CPU?

23comments

Back in September, the Meizu Pro 5 was introduced by the company. Featuring a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, the handset is powered by the Exynos 7420 chipset. Yup, that's the same SoC that you'll find inside the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Now, Meizu is apparently going to offer a Pro 5 Mini, and the big news is that it just might be equipped with MediaTek's Helio X20 chipset.

According to a report published today, the Meizu Pro 5 Mini will be driven by the MT6797 SoC, which includes a deca-core CPU. Additionally, the phone is said to carry a 4.7-inch screen, with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. It will be offered with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage, priced at the equivalent of $315 USD and $394 USD respectively. It also will feature a metal build, like the full-sized Pro 5.

Unfortunately, we don't have any other specs to throw at you for now. But there are quite a few things to look forward to down the road, such as benchmark tests, TENAA certification and more. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the tip!
