Leaked iPad Pro render shows the biggest iPad in history's purported chassis and dimensions
Serial leaker OnLeaks published a render of the eventual iPad Pro's chassis. Graphically intense and visually interesting it is not, but if the render is legit - and it could be, by the looks of it - then Apple's 12.9-inch iPad for the pros will be a huge tablet that's also very thin. The device measures approximately 9.17 x 12 x 0.28in (223 x 306 x 7.2mm). It also seems to have a single USB Type C port, although it could be a Lighting port as well. However, the tablet's Pro moniker suggests the former, not the latter.
Reportedly, the iPad Pro will be introduced in December 2015, although we're more willing to bet on a couple of months before or after Dec. We are also pondering the idea of Apple just sticking the new MacBook's tiny, passively cooled motherboard into that big iPad chassis and calling it the iPad Pro. With iPad sales going stale, this might be what Apple has to do to breathe some life in its tablet lineup.
