LTE Samsung Galaxy Note coming to AT&T early next year?
The Samsung Galaxy Note crosses the thin line separating smartphones and tablets, and steps in both territories with its gigantic 5.3-inch display, but up until now Americans could only hear tales about it from international users. This will change soon - Pocketnow says it expects to see a US version of the Galaxy Note make an appearance at CES, kicking off in less than a month.
The AT&T-bound Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to arrive as the Samsung SGH-I717 with the same impressive 720p 5.3” display. It will be different than the current international version as it will include 4G LTE connectivity and run on a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 chip. It’s not yet clear which version of Android it will feature, but expectations are for Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a possible update to ICS later on.
The Galaxy Note is also known for its built-in S Pen allowing you to scribe your memories and annotate images and other files. The 5.3” screen might seem like a stretch to the average user, but it’d certainly appeal to artists and display maximalists.
