LG Max mid-ranger unveiled in India, priced at $172 USD
The LG Max has been unveiled in India, priced at the equivalent of $172 USD. As we told you the other day, in other markets the phone is being called the LG Bello II, or the LG Prime II. The 5-inch screen features a 480 x 854 FWVGA resolution. That works out to a 196ppi pixel density. A quad-core 1.3GHz CPU is under the hood. 1GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of expandable storage.

An 8MP camera is on the back, and a 5MP selfie-centric snapper is found on the front of the phone. The latter supports Gesture Shot, which snaps a selfie when you open and close your palm in front of the camera. With Selfie Flash, the phone's display is employed as a soft flash "for portraits that are more subtle and refined." Android 5.1.1 is installed out of the box, and a 2540 mAh batter keeps the motor running.

The handset supports 3G connectivity, and is available in White, Gold and Titan.

Thanks for the tip!
