LG G4 tops Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 in Consumer Reports performance score

The LG G4, with its 5.5" Quad HD display, and a 16 MP optically-stabilized camera, has won hearts and minds over at Consumer Reports, where it got 78 in performance score, out of the 100 maximum. Interestingly enough, the same publications ranked the current flagships of the two mobile juggernauts - Apple and Samsung - lower. The Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6 jointly occupy the fifth place in the Consumer Reports ranking system.

The G4 features plenty of unique features, like in the case of its IPS Quantum Display, laser-assist focus for the camera, and a color spectrum sensor. It also comes with a genuine leather back option in numerous interesting colors, setting it apart from the cold, hard plastic, glass or metal crowd. You can agree to disagree with the Consumer Reports' ranking system, but the fact is that these folks are shaping the opinions of numerous shoppers before they pull the "buy" trigger," so the G4 now has one unforeseen ally on its side on the crusade against the big boys.
