LG G3 mini surfaces early: 720p display and 8-megapixel camera in tow
We’ve been hearing rumors about the upcoming LG G3, a device expected to become LG’s 2014 flagship, but while it’s not even official yet, we’re already witnessing the first leaks for a device derived from it - the LG G3 mini.
A smarphone codenamed 'B2 mini' has appeared in documents, and given that the expected LG G3 is referred to as the B2, chances are this is our first encounter with the LG G3 mini.
The compact handset also carries the LG D725 internal model number, and we now know that it will feature a 720p display of unknown size (we’d guess around 4.7”, as is the trend with ‘minis’ nowadays, but that’s just a guess), and that it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with LG’s Optimus skin on top. The G3 mini is listed to feature an 8-megapixel camera as well. We know this by the fact that the listed resolution of photos is 3264 x 2248 pixels, as much as an 8-megapixel camera shoots.
Its elder brother, the LG G3, on the other hand, is expected to arrive much sooner and on all four major US carriers: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, carrying model numbers LG D850, VS985 4G, LG D851 and LG LS 990, respectively.

And that’s about all - no images of the actual handset have leaked out yet, nor do we have additional details. Given that the LG G3 is not yet official, though, we’d expect the G3 mini to arrive a good few months from now.
