LG G Pad reportedly getting introduced and launched all next month; Verizon to get LTE model?
Back in the middle of this month, we told you to expect a new Android tablet from LG to get unveiled in September. Now, a report out of Korea says that not only will the 8.3 inch slate be unwrapped next month, the LG G Pad will also be released before the end of September. The introduction of the slate is expected to take place during next month's IFA show in Berlin and be available in some markets weeks afterward.
According to knowledgeable insiders, a version of the tablet with 4G LTE connectivity will be coming to Verizon and a Wi-Fi only version will be offered in South Korea. The tablet is expected to offer an 8.3 inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 is believed to run the tablet, not the Snapdragon 800 as originally thought. The slab has already visited the FCC and has also received its Bluetooth certification. No pricing estimate for the LG G Pad has been released at this time.
