Image of red HTC One max spotted on promo for Taiwan carrier
A look at a promotional campaign from Taiwan based carrier FarEasTone has revealed the image of a red colored HTC One max. The phablet is photographed standing next to a red HTC Desire 601. In fact, the ad shows off four different red HTC handsets including the HTC Butterfly and the HTC Desire Q. The HTC One and HTC One mini both are available in different colors including a red version of each. But there is no official word on whether this red HTC One max will be offered in other regions and through other carriers.
The HTC One line, which includes the HTC One, HTC One mini and HTC One max, will be losing its flagship status with the Taiwan based carrier once the phone codenamed HTC M8 is released. The HTC One was originally codenamed the M7, so there is no doubt that the M8 will be the sequel to the HTC One (HTC One 2?).
So as the HTC One lives out its waning days as the manufacturer's top Android model, it is nice to see that those who favor the version of the phone on steroids might have the opportunity to purchase the handset in a cool red shade. You can check out the complete promotional ad for the carrier and a close up of the HTC One max in red by viewing the slideshow below.

All this discussion of the color red reminds us of a joke we heard a long time ago. Why do firemen wear red suspenders? To keep their pants up. Ok, they can't all be gems. How about this, why might the HTC One max come in red? Because more SKUs mean more money for the manufacturer and retailers. And if enough people like that shiny red look of the HTC One max, it might be HTC laughing all the way to the bank.
