Huawei to unveil its first smartwatch at MWC 2014, new tablets and a smartphone also expected
Whether you are planning on buying a smartwatch or not, more and more manufacturers are introducing this sort of accessories that should, at least theoretically, bring benefits to our wireless existence. The Wall Street Journal reports that Huawei is the latest important company that’s getting ready to launch a smartwatch. The Chinese company should announce its first such product later this month at MWC 2014 (24 - 27 February).

At the moment there are no details about the Huawei smartwatch, so we don’t know if it’s going to be an affordable device, or an expensive, high-end one.

In addition to unveiling its first smartwatch, Huawei will reportedly announce two new tablets and a new smartphone at MWC in Barcelona. One of the tablets could be the 7-inch Full HD MediaPad X1 - but that’s just our guess. As for the new smartphone, the WSJ notes that this isn’t the rumored successor tot the Ascend P6 (expected to be called Ascend P7), so here we have another mystery that might not be solved until MWC kicks off.

It’s said that Samsung will announce a new smartwatch (Galaxy Gear 2?) at MWC, too, alongside its next-generation Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone.

Apple, HTC, LG and ZTE are other major players that are seemingly preparing smartwatches of their own for later this year.
