Huawei Mate7 Compact to be announced at MWC 2015?

12comments

Huawei already announced that it would host a press event on March 1 at MWC 2015, though it didn't say what it's going to unveil then. According to Italian website HDBlog, the Chinese company could showcase a smaller version of the Ascend Mate7, possibly called Huawei Mate7 Compact (yes, without the Ascend branding).

Reportedly, the upcoming handset will sport a 5.5-inch display, so it should cater to users who are finding the 6-inch Mate7 a little bit too large. There are no other details about the alleged Mate7 Compact, but we assume the device will have a thin, metal made body, while being powered by a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin processor - just like the original Mate7 (pictured above).

Of course, other Huawei handsets are expected to be unveiled at MWC 2015, though these might not include the P8 (which should be announced at a separate event). As for the rumored Mate 8, it may be a bit too early for it to make an official appearance. But we'll be here (as well as there, at MWC) to let you know what happens in the end.
