Huawei Mate 8 release date said to come in late November or early December
At the moment, the hottest Huawei smartphone around is the Google Nexus 6P. This is especially true in the US, where the Chinese telecommunication giant has still to break ice through its self-branded smartphones. As the world's third-largest smartphone maker, however, Huawei has a diverse smartphone range that caters to many price points and form factors.
If the 5.7-inch Huawei Nexus 6P leaves you wanting for even more screen real estate, then you might be interested in Huawei's upcoming Mate 8. In the past months, we've heard a few rumors centered on the device, and we've also seen some alleged leaked photos. Earlier today, a report from China claimed that the Huawei Mate 8 has entered mass production over at Foxconn, with the commercial release said to follow in either late November or early December.
According to previous rumors and leaks, the Huawei Mate 8 will make use of the company's in-house Kirin 950 chip, a high-end effort that's believed to integrate four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.4GHz.
A leaked Geekbench result that surfaced online this summer revealed that the Kirin 950 might turn out to be faster than the Exynos 7420, the chip that powers a range of high-end Samsung phones such as the Galaxy S6, the S6 edge+, and the Galaxy Note5. The Kirin 950 is also said to include a high-end ARM Mali-T880 GPU, a Cat. 10 LTE radio, a Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 DSP chip, as well a motion co-processor.
Other rumored specs for the Huawei Mate 8 include a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels (QHD), either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of integrated storage space, an 21MP primary camera, and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front.
Allegedly, the Huawei Mate 8 will be priced at 3,299 ($520) for the version with 3GB of RAM, and at CNY 3,899 ($610) for the version with 4GB of RAM.

Unfortunately, there's no word of US availability at the moment. However, if history is any indication, chances are that the gargantuan Huawei Mate 8 will eventually land in the US as well either through Huawei's own webstore or third party retailers such as good ol' Amazon.
