Huawei teases the Unique S for a September 2nd unveiling
This morning, the president of Huawei's consumer business, Zhu Ping, took to his Weibo account to post a teaser that reads "Unique S." The image listed the date of September 2nd, and displayed an IFA logo. The annual show will be taking place this year in Berlin, as usual, with the opening day set for September 2nd. That is also
the day that we are expected to see Huawei unveil the Mate 7 mini/Plus according to serial leaker Evan Blass.
While Blass had limited info on the the Mate 7 mini/Plus, he did say that it would be unwrapped on September 2nd and that
Force Touch had been pulled from the phone. The device took a trip through AnTuTu where a 4.7-inch screen was revealed (not nearly as large as originally thought), carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The phone has 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera employing the Sony IMX278 sensor. Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed, and a Kirin SoC is under the hood, with an octa-core CPU and the Mali-T624 GPU.
Well, here's a wild idea. Considering the "Unique S" teaser mentions September 2nd, perhaps the phone that was tipped by @evleaks is actually called the Huawei Mate 7S. We should continue to see more information leak as September 2nd draws near.
