Huawei Honor 3 to be unveiled on August 28th?
Chinese handset manufacturer Huawei plans on introducing the Huawei Honor 3 on August 28th according to sources inside the country. Back in June, we first heard about the Huawei Honor 3. Since then, the device underwent radio silence and it has been absolutely quiet until Friday when the expected introduction date was revealed. The Honor series is supposed to be not quite as upper crust as the Ascend series which has spawned some popular models like the 6.1 inch Huawei Ascend Mate and the 6.18mm thin Huawei Ascend P6.
Back in June, most of the specs were outed, but it is worth repeating with the unveiling just days away. The Huawei Honor 3 is expected to offer a 4.7 inch screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution. A home grown quad-core 1.5GHz K3V2E processor is under the hood with 2GB of RAM inside. Of the 8GB of native storage that comes with the phone, only 3.13GB is available to the user, which makes you happy that you have a microSD slot on the handset. A 13MP rear-facing camera is on back while a 1MP front-facing camera is perfect for self-portraits and video chats. A 2230mAh cell powers the unit while Android 4.2.2 is installed out of the box. The Emotion UI 1.6 runs on top of Android. Overall, not bad for what is being called a mid-ranger not on the manufacturer's premium brand.
