Honor 5X will "soon" be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Released in the US in late January, the honor 5X is an affordable smartphone that offers plenty of attractive features, including a metal-made body, fingerprint scanner, and a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The handset is sold for $199 unlocked, thus being an option to consider for anyone on a limited budget.
One of the downsides of the honor 5X is that, at the moment, it's running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Fortunately, Honor (a Huawei brand) will update the device to Android 6.0 Marshmallow - just as previously promised. According to the official Honor USA Twitter account, the update will be available "soon." Right now, there's no exact release date for the update, but we assume/hope that honor 5X users will be able to get a taste of Marshmallow starting the coming weeks.
The honor 5X can be purchased only online from Hihonor.com, Newegg, and Amazon, and you can get it in three color versions: grey, gold, or silver. Interested?
